The things that shaped how I see.
I spend a lot of time around nature, traveling, and making things. It helps me slow down and notice small details.
Outside of all this, I spend an embarrassing amount of time playing The Sims and rewatching Harry Potter movies.
The years that changed my pace.
The Navy took me far from the quiet places I grew up around. Life became more technical, structured, and fast moving.
I’m grateful for those years, but somewhere in that environment, I slowly stopped creating.
The part of me I missed.
Photography was probably the first time I felt fully lost in something creative. I’d spend hours editing photos, making surreal self portraits, and experimenting just because I loved it.
Finding design years later felt strangely familiar.
The way I make sense of things now.
Design became the place where everything started connecting again. The creative side of me, the technical side, and the way I notice small frustrations and details.
It felt like coming back to that creative kid I used to be. But now with just more intention.
